Traveller, Photographer, Adventure Seeker

Antje has spent her life dedicated to the conservation of wild spaces through ethical tourism practices. Having worked alongside trusted brands such as National Geographic, Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel, she is a force to be reckoned with when in comes to operations and travel logistics.

In 2012 Girl in the Wilderness started as an Instagram Handle, a way to document her travels across the African Continent, and the remote places she was visiting. Naturally the progression continued to Antje starting to take extraordinary wildlife photos, some of which have been featured in international print media. As her travels continued, more and more women started talking to her about safety, and how they had always wanted to come on safari, but they were scared to do it alone.

It seemed natural given Antje's background in Travel that this was the next step in the evolution of Girl in the Wilderness. To create safari journeys specifically for women.

Living in the small conservation town of Hoedspruit - a gateway to the Kruger National Park, she has formed deep friendships with conservationists and wildlife vets, allowing her to offer exceptional conservation safaris alongside her Husband. Antje is passionate about Vultures, Hyena's and Pangolins.

The only thing she loves more than travel and her husband, are their three Belgian Malinois dogs.
